Elena frowns. She does see that her 35 is right next to Punky's 33. She frowns some more and recounts all her squares up to 50.

"See," Punky says. "You missed one. Now our game is wrong."

"Let's draw 34 right here," Elena suggests, as she quickly tries to repair her mistake. She draws 34 next to 33 and 35. [press Extra button]

"Okay," Punky agrees. "Let's draw an arrow so everyone knows which square to jump to next."

So Punky draws the arrow. Then she draws over the arrow again and again until it's a big fat arrow blur. 

"This way everyone will know to go here first," she says as she keeps drawing attention to Elena's mistake.

"That's enough times," Elena says. She doesn't like what Punky is doing. "How many times do you have to do that?" Elena sulks.

"Just trying to get it right," Punky replies, but stops drawing the arrow.

Elena decides to move back up the sidewalk and counts all the way up to one hundred.

Punky reminds her. "Don't get it wrong this time. Be sure to add one to it."

Elena isn't sure about this. She counts it over.

"Be sure to add one," Punky says again, so Elena does.

Punky and Elena then work on their own separate hopscotch squares with Punky counting her way up and Elena counting her way down. Until they both meet at square 76.

But wait! There are two 76 squares! Punky scribbles over Elena's 76. 

"You got it wrong again!" Punky accuses Elena.

"You made me get it wrong." Elena defends herself. "You made me add one!"

Punky replies, "I told you to add one and get it right. Not add one and get it wrong!"

"I would have gotten it right!" Elena quickly replies. "You made me add one. I would have gotten it right if you hadn't told me that."

Punky yells back, "YOU got it wrong, not ME."

"But YOU made me get it wrong." Elena says as she points her finger at Punky. "YOU kept saying be sure to add one, be sure to add one this time. It's your fault."

"You did it, not me," Punky says. She's starting to think that maybe Elena is right. Maybe she shouldn't have said anything.
